Foster creativity, inspire and enliven your classroom with a MOCHA Artist in Residence. The Artist in Residency Program is a series of classroom visits that includes age-appropriate art curriculum led by professional artists. The program is designed to provide students with engaging opportunities to practice art skills, develop their self-expression and cultivate their creative thinking. MOCHA artists work with the classroom teacher to determine content which can be designed to support the core curriculum and be aligned to the language arts, social science and mathematics standards. All residencies are tied to the state's visual arts standards.

about mocha art camps
MOCHA art camps are dedicated to providing age appropriate, fun and enriching art activities for children and youth from kindergarten through junior high school.
Led by professional MOCHA artists and a caring, diverse staff, each art camp features a variety of techniques and materials, and an attention to process and outcomes: with armloads of daily finished projects, spontaneous exhibitions, courtyard performances, and art walks and visits to other museums and programs that expand the context of the MOCHA art lesson.

Registration forms are coming soon! In the meantime, please call to register.
camp fees
Fees include all art materials, healthy snacks, MOCHA t-shirt and transportation and admission fees for excursions. MOCHA members and families enrolling two or more siblings receive a 10% discount on fees.
little studio
MOCHA's Little Studio is designed to let children explore at their own pace. Children can see, touch, and manipulate a variety of mediums in a space sized just for them. This is a very hands on experience, so wear your painting clothes. Come on down...paint, draw, pound clay and spill stuff!
MOCHA has extended the Little Studio programs to our new loft area. The loft space is designed more appropriately for the under 5's.
community service
MOCHA specializes in interactive art stations for community events and special occasions. We've been found everywhere from Jack London Square's Italian Festa (pasta necklaces!) to Fruitvale Dia de Los Muertos (skeleton self portraits!) to wedding receptions (the bride made the mural!).
